From the classroom to the heart of one of India’s most ambitious maritime developments, LEAP 2026 took our MBA students to Adani Vizhinjam International Seaport—a truly remarkable learning experience. With its naturally deep waters, strategic location and modern infrastructure, Vizhinjam is emerging as a significant maritime gateway connecting Kerala and India with global markets.
For our students, this was much more than an industry visit. It was an opportunity to experience real-world port operations, understand global trade dynamics, explore the evolving maritime sector and witness the scale of infrastructure driving India’s maritime growth.
A major highlight of the visit was getting an up-close view of MSC ARINA, a massive container vessel at the port. Seeing the vessel and port operations firsthand gave students a powerful perspective on how goods move across continents and how interconnected the global economy truly is. The sessions and interactions were led by Mr. Vijeesh, Coordinator – Project Udaan, who helped students connect what they learn in business classrooms with the realities of the maritime industry.
