As part of the TIIM Leadership Launchpad series, students of T-IIM had the unique opportunity to visit the Adani Vizhinjam International Seaport, along with the Adani Foundation CSR and Community Skill Park.
This immersive industry engagement provided participants with transformative exposure to large-scale infrastructure operations and leadership practices in a real-world setting. The visit offered key insights into the functioning of world-class container operations governed by stringent global port standards, as well as the strategic vision behind India’s first deep-water transshipment port.
Students also gained a deeper understanding of impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives focused on community development, livelihood generation, and skill enhancement—demonstrating how industry leadership extends beyond business to societal transformation.
The T-IIM team was warmly received by senior professionals including Dr. Anil Balakrishnan, AVP – Corporate Affairs and Mr. Deepesh K, Head – HR of Adani Vizhinjam International Seaport and CSR division, whose openness and willingness to share their expertise enriched the overall learning experience.
This visit reinforced an important management perspective: true leadership is anchored not only in operational excellence, but also in a strong commitment to social responsibility.
